The workshop will look at the relationship between “the actor, the word and space” and is led by Creative Quarter resident Douglas Rintoul, artistic director of Folkestone based theatre company TRANSPORT. He has directed for the Barbican, Trafalgar Studios, Dundee rep Theatre, Salisbury Playhouse, The New Wolsey Theatre, and Central School of Speech & Drama to name just a few venues and is a long-standing associate director to Complicite.
The workshop will consist of a variety of subjects such as group exercises, investigating the text through specific techniques, ensemble acting and improvisation. The aim is to commit to truthful acting and have fun.
The workshop is free, open to anyone 16+ and will involve some physical exercises. The evening promises to be exciting and informative for anyone who enjoys acting or would like to have a go! Further information about TRANSPORT can be found at www.transport-theatre.eu
