Steep Street Coffee House is a literary coffee shop inspired by the famous book cafés of Paris. Interesting and arty books line the walls - poetry and local literature, classics and coffee table hardbacks.

In the tradition of the first European coffee houses we hope that our space will become a hub for lively conversation, meetings, reading, writing and entertaining. All of this to be fuelled, of course, by our speciality coffee, sandwiches, salads, paninis, patisserie and a good deal of our famous home-made cake.

Our fresh ingredients are sourced from independent local producers. Our coffee is direct trade, newly roasted by Small Batch, a speciality coffee roaster in Brighton.

Creative Folkestone Members can enjoy a 10% discount on all books that are for sale in the cafe (please note not all books are on sale - only books on the bottom six shelves).
